I believe it is my duty to do the very least
or the very most I am able to help others in need,
all over the world.
I believe the smallest act of kindness, given or received, has the
power to restore hope in the greatest of ways.
So remember to pass on
a smile, even if it's the very least you're able to give, it could mean
the very most to the one who gets it.

I'd always given before, but now I give more.
My
mother was directly affected by Katrina and the Salvation Army
was a saving grace during the most trying times. They delivered
hot food, water, blankets, clothes, toothpaste - whatever needed
to get by. They were the first relief responders to arrive
on location, pushing their way through streets not yet cleared
of massive debris. This was in Slidell, which suffered a direct
hit and a 30' tidal surge
from Lake Pontchartrain during the worst of the storm. |
